About
Yuthok Ling

Yuthok Ling was founded by Dr. Nida Chenagtsang to preserve the lineage of Yuthok Nyingthig and provide a center for the study of Tibetan Medicine in the foothills of the Apennine Mountains in Arce, Italy.

Our History & Vision

Yuthok Ling started as a dream of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, who was donated the land in 2024 by a generous student who shared his vision to create a healing center for Sowa Rigpa and the Yuthok Nyingthig spiritual lineage.   Since that time, much activity has occurred on the land.  In addition to two large Zen cabins, and three Dakini cabins for guests to stay during retreats, a large yurt for long retreats has been erected, and dark retreat cabins are well on their way to being complete.

At the center of Yuthok Ling is our completely open-air Yuthok Temple, where we host indoor retreats.  Nearby the yurt, an outdoor shrine to Mahakala sits.

Additionally, the only existing living replica of Tanaduk Gardens, with a Medicine Buddha at the center of the Mandala, has recently been erected on the grounds.

Nearby, a large garden outdoor cafe, accessible to the local public, has been built, to house local events and connect people with nature.  A latge water feature and Zen Garden is being planned in that area.

Our vision for Yuthok Ling is to grow into a vibrant global community where the union of the wisdom of Yuthok Nyingthig's spiritual lineage and the wisdom of Sowa Rigpa can be passed on.  We hope that this community can serve  also as a healing center for the entire surrounding community, and support global healing. .
