Yuthok Ling

Yuthok Ling was founded by Dr. Nida Chenagtsang to preserve the lineage of Yuthok Nyingthig and provide a center for the study of Tibetan Medicine in the foothills of the Apennine Mountains in Arce, Italy.

Our History & Vision

Yuthok Ling began as a dream of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, who received the land in 2024 from a generous student who shared his vision of creating a healing center for Sowa Rigpa and the Yuthok Nyingthig spiritual lineage. Since then, much activity has taken place on the land. In addition to two large Zen cabins and three Dakini cabins for guests to stay during retreats, we have erected a large yurt for long retreats, and the dark retreat cabins are well on their way to completion.

At the center of Yuthok Ling is our completely open-air Yuthok Gompa, where we host indoor retreats. An outdoor shrine to Mahakala sits near our yurt intended for long-term retreat.

Additionally, a large medicinal garden, modeled after Medicine Buddha's Tanaduk Garden, has recently been erected on the grounds.

Next to Tanaduk Garden, a large outdoor cafe and shop is accessible to the local public and was built to host local events and connect people with nature. A large water feature and Zen Garden are also planned for that area.

Our vision for Yuthok Ling is to grow into a vibrant global community where the union of the wisdom of the Yuthok Nyingthig spiritual lineage and Sowa Rigpa can be passed on. We hope that this community can serve as a healing center for both the local and global community.
